Bleiler wins Breckenridge Grand Prix Pipe

Aspen, CO, Dec. 16, 2007 - With temps hovering in the negative numbers, the ladies at the Breckenridge Grand Prix still managed to pack some heat.

The finals came down to the three American powerhouses of Hannah Teter, Kelly Clark, and local Gretchen Blieler. Teter finished bronze. Kelly Clark fell just short of a repeat victory with plenty of amplitude and tight combos in her run – including an amazing corked frontside five, but it was Bleiler’s first run, which was scored at 45.3,and included a crippler, triple inside alley-oop, triple inside five, back-side five and front 900, that sealed the deal and the number one spot on the podium.

Clark, who won an Olympic gold medal in 2002, was the only returning podium topper from last year’s Breck Grand Prix stop, where Bleiler finished a disappointing seventh. Teter took most of last season off.
