Celebrity Apprentice: The Women Lose Again

The women’s team lost for the third straight episode and Donald Trump was forced to fire yet another member of Empresario last night on the Celebrity Apprentice.

This week’s team task was to create a Kodak mobile printing experience on the streets of New York City. Teams were judged based on originality, brand messaging and profit. In a surprising move, Donald Trump, asked musician, Gene Simmons, to move from Hydra to Empresario to lead the women.

The teams immediately tackled the task as Hydra brought in their entire team to meet with Kodak executives, while Empresario only sent two team members for the meeting, which proved to be a vital mistake. But, Hydra was not without mishaps. While designing ads for the trailer used to sell the printers, Hydra spilled coffee all over their laptop. Therefore, they were forced to make a midnight run to Kinkos for materials. Empresario’s presentation was spectacular and eye-catching, but although sloppy, Hydra did a much better job selling the product.

Back in the boardroom, Kodak executives shared that they were very upset that Empresario didn’t show up as a team to the meeting. Although, Hydra’s presentation wasn’t perfect, Kodak declared Hydra the winners because their message was what Kodak envisioned and they earned the most profit.

Immediately, Simmons insisted Kodak was wrong and his idea was the right one for the company. In a surprising move, Simmons decided to bring only reality star Omarosa back into the boardroom, leaving out producer, Nely Galan and model, Carol Alt, who were partly responsible for not including Kodak’s vision, since they attended the meeting. Trump forced Simmons to choose another team member. Against Trump’s advice, Simmons choose a stunned softball superstar, Jennie Finch.

While in the boardroom with Trump, Omarosa stated that Finch hasn’t stepped up and lacked leadership ability. Finch defended herself by saying that she hasn’t had a chance to show her leadership skills because she has yet to hold a leadership position. Simmons would not back down from his earlier conviction, insisting Kodak was wrong and he was right. Trump was forced to fire Simmons since neither Omarosa or Finch was at fault. Trump left perplexed that Simmons would bring Omarosa and Finch with him, when Galan and Alt obviously dropped the ball regarding the Kodak project.

What did you think of last night’s episode? Did Simmons deserve to be fired? Did Jennie deserve to almost get fired? Want to find out how Jennie Finch feels about the Celebrity Apprentice?
