Kaprun, Austria, Dec. 17, 2007 - The world’s best female riders tore up the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier in Kaprun, Austria which hosted the first all-girl SIX (6) STAR event of the 07/08 Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour.
After some unfortunate weather caused the postponement of competition on Saturday, the skies opened up and the sun shone brightly. The girls were pumped and loving the set up as they progressed female riding to unbelievable levels, throwing down technical tricks most had never even attempted.
Cheryl Maas (NED) took home the top spot, followed by defending champion Jamie Anderson (USA) in second and Claudia Fliri (AUT) rounding out the top three. All three girls proved they were deserving to stand on the podium, but Cheryl Maas dominated the park with clean style and huge tricks. The Dutch rider last won the title in 2005. This was Cheryl’s first Tour result this season and she is now 35th in the rankings.
