Softball: Team USA suffers first loss

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, March 27, 2008 - The USA Women’s National Team lost its first Pre-Olympic game since 1996 last night,  to Virginia Tech, 1-0. Virginia Tech’s Angela Tincher pitched seven no-hit innings, allowing just one walk and striking out ten. Starting pitcher, Jennie Finch, earned the loss allowing one earned run on four hits in four innings. Team USA has not been shutout since a 2005 game against Japan.

Kudos to Virginia Tech for giving it there all against incredible odds. Want to know more? Check out complete game coverage here.
