UCLA pitcher named POW
Feb. 27, 2008 - UCLA’s Angelica Selden was named the February 18th - 24th National Collegiate Player of the week. During last week’s Palm Spring Classic, Selden struck out 38 batters in 22 innings pitched, recording a 3-0 record including a save.
Alabama (15-0) claimed the top spot of the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll for the second week in a row after posting a 5-0 record. The top five also remained unchanged.
