When: Saturday, December 15th 2007
Where - 2210 Lincoln Blvd, Venice California (Exit the 405 at Venice Blvd then head west about 2 miles to Lincoln Blvd., turn north and go about 5 blocks. You will see the ramp on your right. You will find free parking near by.)
Time- 10:00am to 4:00pm
Registration and practice starts at 10:00 am
Competition starts at 11:00am
There are 6 competitions- Highest Ollie, High Jump, Highest Air, Longest Ollie, Longest Grind, Longest Manual
There are 3 divisions- Wahine 12 and under, Masters 40 and over, Open any age.
There are 3 levels of competition-
1. SPAUSA World Records (top score in each competition in all 3 divisions). Medals to 3rd place (total 18)
2. Guinness World Record Submision (record setting score in each competition, no divisions) Placks to record setters (total 6)
3. Best of the Fest ( top overall points) Trophies to 3rd place ( total 3) (( points are inches, ie. add up all the inches you have cleared in all 6 competitions and that is your overall score)).
There will be a Records Round at the end of the day for any of the record holders that want to better their record. 3 attempts only.
Also, because there has been no other successful women’s high jumps this year the best high jumper of the day will be the 2007 Women’s World High Jump Skateboarding Champion.
Rules-
High Jump & Highest Ollie (three attemps at each new height, must roll past foul line before falling or crossbar hits ground)
Longest Ollie & Longest Manual (three attemps at each new distance).
Highest Air & Longest Grind (best of three completed/landed attemps)
Format- Contest will start with Wahine 12 an under High Jump at 11:00am and then advance through all 3 divisions and all 6 competitions so that several competitions will be going on at the same time. Contest directors may make necessary changes depending on the number of entries.
Publication- SPAUSA is compiling all skateboarding world records from day one. These records will be used to create a definative source of reference for anyone seeking skateboarding world records information . All known skateboarding world records including the ones set at this event will be published in some format later in 2008.
